The eight application characteristics of the new bag filter

The new bag dust collector has the following characteristics compared with the traditional dust collector.

(1) The new bag dust collector covers a small area, covering only about 1/2 of the low-pressure long bag dust collector (including both sides of the maintenance steel frame); the height of the equipment is high, the height of the body profile is more than 2 times that of the low-pressure long bag dust collector. Of course, the specific values can vary with different projects, but this characteristic is common to a significant number of differences;

(2) The overall weight of the new bag filter also has a tendency to become lighter, mainly for two reasons, one is that the filter bags are short and can (and need to) be structured to achieve a close arrangement of the ceiling plate holes and a smaller overall profile of the dust collector; the second is that the airbox pulse type dust cleaning is used, which omits a large number of blowing tubes compared to the line blowing pulse dust collector. Of course, due to the increased height of the dust collector, the steel frame and other load-bearing structures need to be made of stronger materials and structural design, and the weight of this part is increasing;

(3) The new bag dust collector, using the airbox pulse type dust cleaning, pulse valve specifications for (1.5 ~ 2.5) x 2.54cm, then the low-pressure long bag dust collector typical configuration of (3 ~ 4) x 2.54cm submerged pulse valve specifications small, while the number has also been reduced, economic costs reduced significantly. In particular, the cancellation of the new bag dust collector blowing tube and the fact that the dust collector unit can be extracted for bag replacement and maintenance makes the maintenance of the dust collector significantly less difficult and the labor environment for maintenance workers relatively improved;

(4) The dust collector structure, in order to achieve offline maintenance, the traditional low-pressure long bag dust collector, in the bag chamber import and export are equipped with valves, the industry is called chamber valve and lifting valve, the existence of the chamber valve makes it compared with the gas box pulse dust collector, mechanical sedimentation dust removal effect is worse than some, handling flue gas dust concentration than the gas box pulse dust collector; The new bag filter combines the import and export valves of the bag chamber into one, which is set in the offline valve of the net gas chamber, thus saving costs and avoiding the disadvantages of more failures at the chamber valve, and also making it inherit the characteristics of the strong mechanical settling dust removal effect of the gas box pulse dust collector. It is important to note that this creates a new weakness, as the offline valve functions as a chamber valve when each dust removal unit is taken offline for maintenance, and the lower surface of the valve plate comes into contact with the original flue gas containing dust so that during the initial period when the dust removal unit is reset and put back into use, the dust concentration in the flue gas discharged from this dust removal unit will be slightly elevated (in this case 1/100th of the total dust removal unit emissions may exceed the standard, with no significant impact on the overall dust removal emission indicator). The impact on the overall dust emission indicator is not significant);

(5) Due to aging, ash cleaning, collision and friction, oxidation and corrosion, etc., the filter bag is prone to breakage, the current technical conditions and can not be reused to repair the breakage, so even a small breakage will lead to the scrapping of a filter bag. In this case, the total filtration area is basically the same, the filter bags of the new bag filter are 12800 and each filter bag has a filtration area of 1.0 m2; the filter bags of the low-pressure long bag filter are 4480 and each filter bag has a filtration area of 3.0 m2. It is obvious that first of all, the short filter bags are less prone to breakage than the long filter bags, and at the same time, once broken, scrapping a short filter bag is better than scrapping a large area of long filter bag, with the advantage of cost savings in terms of losses;

(6) The principle shown in the text is a single channel double row structure, the new bag filter can actually be made into a single row structure. This way the dust collector can make use of the structure of the main equipment and do an integrated design. Then the dust collector is functionally and structurally equivalent to a part of the main equipment exhaust flue;

(7) The new bag filter, if designed according to the independent equipment, can also be made into a combined structure, which has good adaptability to the changing expansion of the project. The new bag filter can be increased or reduced according to the change in flue gas volume of the project, especially for projects with predictable changes in construction scale, without having to reserve the construction site for the later dust collector, simply based on the current dust collector already built, by increasing or reducing the number of layers of dust collector units, to achieve an economical and practical upgrade in situ;

(8) The internal structure of the new bag filter is more complex than the traditional low-pressure long bag filter, the filter bags are also arranged more closely, the dust collector structure has a relatively strong ash effect, so it generally requires a lower moisture content in the flue gas and better mobility of the dust, which is its weakness. This weakness requires attention to the inclination of the walls in terms of manufacture, and the need to control the moisture content of the flue gas in terms of operation and to maintain the temperature of the dust, etc.

Overall, multi-layer baghouse dust collectors have a more obvious advantage over traditional dust collectors in terms of floor space, ease of operation and maintenance, construction and running costs of the project, and variability of the equipment.

The traditional bag filter has only a single layer arrangement, often with a very small space height, which appears small in the setting of those tall boilers and other ancillary equipment; however, its horizontal footprint is relatively large, especially when dealing with large air volumes, the dust collector and its duct arrangement structure is more complex. The development of a new bag filter will make a significant difference to this, as the same footprint can fully expand the capacity of the dust collector. At the same time, it can also be seen from the above analysis that the multi-layer design of the baghouse brings a range of advantages in terms of construction, operation, and maintenance of the dust collector. The multi-layer design of baghouse dust collectors is a new practical exploration of the mechanical structure of dust collectors. Similar research and rational development can be done for other dust collector systems.
