What are the surface treatment processes for dust filter bags

During the dust removal process, when dust-containing gas particles pass through the dust collector, the dust particles will be captured on the outer surface of the filter bag, while the clean gas enters the inside of the filter bag through the filter material. The dust cage inside the dust collector bag is used to support the filter bag and prevent the filter bag from collapsing. It also helps to remove and redistribute the dust cake. For some special working conditions, it is very important to post-process the dust bag. The general rules are divided into the following categories:

Singeing and polishing treatment: Use high temperature or rolling method to smooth one side of the filter material and improve the filtration performance. However, this treatment method tends to reduce the permeability of the filter material.

Heat setting treatment: Pretreatment of spun filter materials at high temperatures. The shrinkage of woven filter material in high temperature environment will cause the size of the filter bag to change and maintain dimensional stability.

Waterproof and oil-proof treatment: The filter material is treated with a waterproof and oil-proof agent to improve the performance of the filter material in water- and oil-containing media.

Dip treatment: Dip the filter material in PTFE solution and then dry. Improve the temperature resistance and chemical resistance of filter materials.

Thin film coating treatment: Cover the surface of the filter material with a layer of expanded PTFE through hot melting or bonding. This layer of filter membrane has high porosity and small pore size, which improves dust removal efficiency and almost zero emissions.

Anti-spark and anti-static treatment: During the spinning process, some conductive fibers are added to the filter material to improve the conductivity of the filter material, so that when static electricity is generated, the filter material can release the charge in time to avoid sparks and easy Inflammable and explosive materials explode.

Post-processing processes also include texturing, chemical treatment, pre-coating treatment and surface coating. Among them, chemical treatment can improve the performance of dust collection bags in terms of dust filtration, heat resistance, flame retardancy and corrosion resistance. For example, adding polytetrafluoroethylene, graphite, molybdenum and other substances to silicon can increase the temperature resistance of fiberglass dust bag to 280°C.

These treatment processes can improve the performance and effect of dust removal bags, and the appropriate treatment method can be selected according to the specific use environment and needs.
