Causes of Dust Generation in Jaw Crusher Production and Dust Removal Method

Jaw crusher has many advantages, such as large crushing ratio, simple operation, and convenient maintenance. It is widely used in construction, mining, cement, and other industries. But in the production process, there will be more dust, resulting in greater pollution. So what are the causes of dust generation and what can we do to effectively reduce the impact of dust?

Causes of Dust Generation in Machine Operation

1. Similar to the principle of the fan, the crusher rotor breaks up the material at high speed, and continuously flings a large amount of air from the upper chute of the crusher to the tail of the crusher, forming a high-pressure airflow. This high-pressure airflow is partially absorbed by the dust collector, while the non-sucked part contains a large amount of pulverized coal, which runs out of the gap in the lower chute.

2. The chute at the tail of the machine is linear and has a large circulation area. The high-pressure airflow can easily be left here.

3. The dust collection points of the dust collector outside jaw crusher are dispersed because the dust collection pipeline is long and there are many elbows, which makes the resistance of the dust collection very large, and at the same time, it also absorbs some cleaner air outside.

4. The dust absorbed by the dust collector is filtered and sent back to the belt conveyor by the screw conveyor. The outlet of the dust collector is just below the dust hood. The dust returned will be immediately blown away by the high-pressure airflow and sucked away by the dust collecting pipeline, resulting in secondary pollution.

Practice of Effective Reduction of Dust

After analyzing the causes of dust generation, we can use some methods to treat the problem and effectively remove the dust.

1. In view of the high-pressure wind generated by the high-speed rotation of the crusher, we can do our best to seal the chute behind the crusher and the belt conveyor. For the high-pressure wind cannot be blocked, then we can use the dredging method to reduce the pressure wind.

When the rotor of jaw crusher rotates at high speed, there will be a low-pressure area at its upper inlet. If the high-pressure area at the lower part of the rotor is connected with the low-pressure area at the upper part, the air flow will return to the low-pressure area at the inlet from the high-pressure area at the outlet of the crusher under the action of pressure difference, thus forming a closed-circuit circulation of the air flow in the crusher system, and unloading the crushing the air pressure of the chute behind the machine can reduce the external emission of dust.

2. Remove the unnecessary points of the dust collector, and close the remaining vacuum point with the chute at the tail of the machine, so as to increase the dust collecting capacity of the vacuum collector.

3. Aiming at the dust of the dust collector, displace its return port, move the outlet of the chute inside to the outside, then concentrate the powder back into the chute with a cloth bag, and then clean it manually. At this time, the airflow forms a closed-circuit cycle, which reduces the pulverized coal inhaled by the dust collector, and the worker's labor intensity is not high.
